RABOUIN SENSEI PASSES AWAY

{Aug. 15, 2011}: Today is a sad day. At 5:00 o'clock this morning we received a call from the Oakwood Nursing Home (Red Lion Rd., Phila., PA) informing us that Rabouin Sensei had passed away quietly in his sleep.

Rabouin Sensei began his study of Shotokan karate in 1952 and founded the American Self Defense Karate Association in 1959. He was recognized in 1964 by Black Belt Magazine as one of the pioneers of karate in the United States.

His passing comes just a few weeks short of his 85th birthday (09/08/26).

{Nov. 3, 2019}: Congratulations to Luke Ounsworth who was promoted to the rank of 1 dan after taking a promotion test on November 3, 2019. Testing board consisted of Robert Trotta, and Gary Michael LaPreziosa Sensei.

Certificate was presented to Mr. Ounsworth by ASDKA President Larry L. Flournoy at Hombu Dojo, Skippack, PA on November 7, 2019.

ROBERT TROTTA, SENSEI PROMOTED TO 8 DAN

{Nov. 6, 2019}: By unamious vote of the senior ranking members of the American Self Defense Karate Association Robert J. Trotta was promoted to the rank of 8 dan on November 6, 2019.

Certificate was presented to Trotta, sensei by ASDKA President, Larry L. Flournoy at Hombu Dojo, Skippack, PA, on November 16, 2019.
